In the state of North Carolina, I'm currently in-network with Aetna and BCBS (all PPO plans, & no EPO plans), and accept private pay rates, as well. When using insurance, your co-pay will vary depending on your coverage. It is also important to note that all sessions are between 55-60 minutes in length while utilizing insurance. Lastly, I provide several low-cost equity spots which are currently full. (Last Updated: October 1, 2025)
If you are looking for a reduced-fee sliding scale therapist, while my designated slots are full, I would highly recommend checking out https://openpathcollective.org/

I accept payments through CardPointe via TherapyNotes. Any additional payments as needed are conducted via the IvyPay app.
I can take the following payment forms: Visas, Discover, Master Cards, American Express, cash, or checks. Most of my clients choose to put a credit card on file that can be billed automatically each week, per session, while in treatment.
Deciding whether or not therapy is right for you depends on the experience that you have with your therapist, & it also depends on your current availability, needs, and goals for treatment. According to the American Psychological Association (APA), nearly 75% of surveyed therapy clients report benefitting from therapy.
A good therapy fit should feel easy, relaxed, & non-performative. You will know that you have found a good therapist fit for yourself when you feel connected, seen, & valued. A fit is also determined by the therapist's training and scope of practice, as well as the client's symptom severity.
The first session is more of an opportunity for the therapist and client to get to know more about one another and it is a continuation of determining whether or not the fit is appropriate. I like to use the first session as a way to ask continued assessment questions and to get a feel for one another.
Each decision has its pros and cons. For many individuals, using insurance makes therapy accessible. However, using insurance requires that the client have a diagnosis on file. Private pay offers more autonomy & flexibility while not requiring a diagnosis, but it can be less affordable. I'm happy to discuss more of this in detail during our consultation.
Yes, I offer in-person & virtual therapy Tuesdays through Fridays in downtown Asheville.
I ask for a 24-hour advance notice for cancellations and rescheduling, in which you will not incur a fee. A late cancellation is anything under that 24-hour mark, which will be charged in the system as a "late-fee" cancellation.
The Relational Recovery Process is a therapy model designed to help childhood trauma survivors recover self & other intimacy in the present while processing the pain of the past, or the pain of the "inner-child" while the adult leads in the present. Clients learn to re-parent themselves within the context of a safe group, often different than the first group that they belonged to, their family of origin. Through learning how to have healthy intimacy and power in the present, clients learn to "de-program" their survival responses.
A total of 8 clients are in each RRP group. The group itself is closed, meaning that other people do not enter the group once the group has been established, even if a person is to leave the group.
Please contact me for an interview prior to joining.
Group therapy often works best when a client can see an individual therapist as well, particularly a therapist who is also an RRP therapist. I offer individuals individual therapy and can see clients both in group & in individual therapy. I can also help connect clients to other RRP based clinicians, or to clinicians who have similar approaches.
Yes, I do have waitlists available for all therapy services. Once I have more availability or open a new group, wait-listed persons will be contacted on a first-come-first-serve basis.
